Type: Cushion Cover

The colour of monsoon skies. The craft of generations.

Megh, meaning cloud in Sanskrit, carries the depth and drama of an Indian monsoon in every thread. Handwoven by master weavers in Telangana, Southern India using the Double Ikat technique, where both warp and weft threads are resist-dyed before weaving even begins. The result is a pattern of extraordinary precision that only human hands can achieve.

Deep indigo blue. Maroon and grey motifs. A cushion cover that doesn't just accessorise your home, it anchors it.

          The Details:

  • Double Ikat weave, crafted in Telangana, India
  • Deep indigo blue base with maroon and grey motifs

Care: First wash, dry clean only. After that, gentle hand wash.

Why it's special: Double Ikat is one of the rarest and most technically demanding weaving traditions in the world. Only a handful of regions globally still practise it. When you own a piece of Double Ikat, you own something truly irreplaceable.

Ikat is a centuries-old dyeing and weaving tradition found across India, with Telangana, Odisha, and Gujarat being its strongest roots.
The craft begins long before the loom, the yarn itself is tied and resist-dyed in intricate patterns, a process that demands precision and memory from the artisan.
Only after multiple rounds of tying, dyeing, drying, and re-tying do the threads finally reach the loom, where the pattern slowly reveals itself as the weaver works.
Depending on the complexity, a single Ikat piece can take anywhere from 7 days to over 30 days to complete.
The slight “feathering” of the motifs, a signature of genuine Ikat, is not an imperfection but proof of its handmade soul.
A textile that is both ancient and modern, effortless yet complex, Ikat remains one of India’s most iconic weaves.
