The Megh Handwoven Ikat Cushion Cover is a celebration of India’s age-old weaving artistry. Using the intricate Double Ikat technique of Telangana, where both warp and weft threads are resist-dyed before weaving, each piece carries unmatched precision and heritage. The deep indigo blue base evokes the mystery of monsoon skies, while the maroon and grey motifs add striking contrast—giving Megh (meaning “cloud”) its soulful character.

Styling Tip: At 20 x 20 inches, Megh works beautifully as a statement cushion on sofas, lounge chairs, or beds. Pair it with neutral upholstery in beige, cream, or grey for a sophisticated look, or layer it with solid maroon and indigo cushions to create a cohesive, dramatic palette. For eclectic interiors, mix Megh with other handloom Ikat or block-printed covers to achieve a collected, global aesthetic. In bedrooms, it serves as the perfect centrepiece cushion against crisp white or linen bedding, adding both depth and a pop of artisanal charm.

With its handcrafted wooden buttons and piping detail, Megh isn’t just a cushion cover—it’s a piece of living heritage that brings artistry and story into everyday spaces.

Gentle hand wash or professional dry clean. Do not Bleach. Do not Shade. Warm Iron on Reverse Side Only.

Every item is made to order with care in small batches. Production, dispatch and shipping and delivery may take up to 3–4 weeks.

Ikat is a centuries-old dyeing and weaving tradition found across India, with Telangana, Odisha, and Gujarat being its strongest roots.
The craft begins long before the loom, the yarn itself is tied and resist-dyed in intricate patterns, a process that demands precision and memory from the artisan.
Only after multiple rounds of tying, dyeing, drying, and re-tying do the threads finally reach the loom, where the pattern slowly reveals itself as the weaver works.
Depending on the complexity, a single Ikat piece can take anywhere from 7 days to over 30 days to complete.
The slight “feathering” of the motifs, a signature of genuine Ikat, is not an imperfection but proof of its handmade soul.
A textile that is both ancient and modern, effortless yet complex, Ikat remains one of India’s most iconic weaves.
