Works beautifully in coastal Australian homes, eclectic interiors and Hamptons style spaces. Pair with solid grey, forest green or cream cushions. Perfect for sofas, beds, reading chairs, patios and balconies.

Care: Gentle hand wash in cold water. Dry in shade to preserve the natural dye. Do not wring.

Why it's special: Dabu printing is a centuries old craft from Rajasthan, India. The mud resist technique means every print carries subtle variations proof of authentic handcraft. No two pieces are ever exactly alike.

Dabu is an ancient mud-resist hand-block printing technique from Rajasthan, celebrated for its earthy charm and organic textures.
The process begins with a paste of clay, gum, and natural ingredients, which artisans apply onto fabric using intricately carved wooden blocks.
This resist paste protects certain areas from dye, allowing patterns to emerge once the fabric is dipped into natural or indigo vats.
After drying under the sun, the fabric is washed to reveal the soft, imperfect beauty that makes Dabu so loved.
Each piece goes through multiple rounds of printing, drying, dyeing, and washing, a process that can take several days to over a week, depending on complexity.
The slight smudges, creases, and grainy textures are not flaws but hallmarks of true Dabu craftsmanship.
Every meter carries the scent of wet earth, the imprint of wooden blocks, and the legacy of artisans who keep this age-old technique alive.
A textile rooted in soil, sun, and slow craft, Dabu is art in its most honest form.
