Care: Gentle hand wash separately in cold water with mild detergent. Do not bleach. Line dry in shade. Iron on reverse.

Why it's special: The border motif on this cushion is inspired by India's rich architectural heritage ,the intricate carved borders found on palace walls and temple doorways across Rajasthan. Handcrafted in India by Bloc A Main. Brought to Australia by Sattva & Sage.

Gentle hand wash or professional dry clean. Do not Bleach. Do not Shade. Warm Iron on Reverse Side Only.

Every item is made to order with care in small batches. Production, dispatch and shipping and delivery may take up to 3–4 weeks.

Block printing is one of India’s oldest surface-design traditions, practised for centuries across Rajasthan and Gujarat.
Each motif begins as a sketch, then is hand-carved onto teak or sheesham wood by master block-makers, a craft in itself.
Artisans dip these blocks into natural or AZO-free dyes and press them onto fabric with rhythmic precision, creating patterns one impression at a time.
Every colour in a design requires its own block, and the fabric is printed layer by layer.
The work is entirely manual; even a small misalignment becomes a part of the textile’s charm.
Once printed, the fabric is dried under the sun, washed, and sometimes reprinted for richer tones.
The entire process can take several days to weeks, depending on the complexity of the motif and colour layers.
Slight variations across the print are not defects but signatures of authentic handcraft.
A celebration of patience, skill, and tradition, block printing turns fabric into art.
